volt olyan helyszín - éppen a Gellért szálló előtti terület -, ahol több műszakban kellett dolgoznunk, hogy a határidőt tartani tudjuk. Az ásatások dokumentálásában nagy előrelépést jelentett, hogy áttérhettünk a geodéziai felmérések után a fotódokumentáció digitális archiválására is. A lclctanyag előzetes nyilvántartása az átmeneti raktár és restaurátor műhely bővítése miatt egyelőre nem tud lépést tartani a gyarapodással. A raktár és műhely előreláthatóan csak 2003 végére tud majd teljes kapacitással dolgozni. Zsidi Paula operated from the Roman period through the Middle Ages were recovered. The largest scale work of the year was the excavation linked to the reconstruction of Bartók Béla Road, Móricz Zsigmond circus and Bocskai Road. This task was important not onlv from an archaeological point of view but had unusual technical and organizational aspects as well. We had to work in the area, apart from in a few park areas, in parallel with the strict pace of road construction. Thus, there were territories, especially the one in front of Hotel Gellért, where we had to work in shifts to be able to keep to our deadline. It marked a great advance in the documentation work of the excavations that after the geodesic surveys, we were able to begin the digital archiving of the photo documentation as well. The preliminary cataloguing of the find material cannot as yet keep pace with the accumulation of finds because of the enlargement of the transitional find repository and the conservation laboratory. The repository and the workshop will probably only be able to function at maximum capacity from the end of 2003. Paula Zsidi
