Újkori cölöpszerkezetű építmény az Óbudai-sziget északi csúcsánál (Budapest, III. ker., Óbudai-sziget) 2001. októberében a Duna alacsony vízállása lehetővé tette az Óbudai-sziget északi végénél a Duna-mederben korábban megfigyelt (ZSIDI 1999, 257.) cölöpby a dark brown humis layer mixed with medieval pottery sherds and a heavily worn Roman period coin. The stratigraphie layers ended in yellow clay virgin soil, in which traces of walls could be observed in two spots. The clay walls had already been removed in the Roman period. The fill contained Samian ware, Roman pottery, clay fragments and many animal bones (with unexpectedly many horn core fragments!). We could not clarify the direction and the function of the walls in the narrow trench of the sewer, their existence, however, is an important new addition to what we know of the structures standing outside the southern town wall of Aquincum.
