The build­ing was reconstruct­ed between the reign of Caracalla and Alexander Severus in the first half of the 3 rd century. The large number of mural fragments found in the area can be dated to the same peri­od. This dwelling house was sys­tematically pulled down at the time the district was evacuated. The roof beams were lined up in a row, (Fig. 4.) then the walls were pulled down. The stone material from the main walls were transported away, the dividing walls made of adobe bricks were levelled.
