5. Újabb régészeti feltárások az aquincumi katonaváros nyugati szélén (Madarassy Orsolya)
sasházának alapozási munkái előtt végeztünk megelőző régészeti feltárást. A katonaváros nagyobb lakóházának részlete került elő, amelynek lezárása észak felé a Selmeci utcai úttest, kelet felé a San Marco utcai úttest alatt lehet. A feltárt lakószobák egy perystiliumos udvart vettek körül. Az eredeti épületet a 2. század elején emelték majd a 3. század első évtizedeiben jóformán teljesen megújították. (2. kép) A házat a 3. század első felében még háromszor korszerűsítették. Az épületet a század hetvenes éveire keltezhető tereprendezés során bontották el, a falak kőanyagával planírozták el a területet. Ugyanezt a tendenciát figyelhettük meg a San Marco utca 32. telken, ahol egy 2-3. századi ház néhány helyiségét tártuk fel. Az eredeti 2. századi épületet itt is háromszor alakították át a 3. század első Archaeological excavations were conducted preceding the foundation of a block of flats by the PROPSZT Szerkezetépítő Kft. on lot 34 Selmeci Street. A fragment from a larger dwelling house in the Military Town was unearthed. Its end walls are probably under the road surface of Selmeci Street in the north and that of San Marco Street to the east. The unearthed dwelling rooms encircled a courtyard with a perystilium. The original building was constructed at the beginning of the 2 nd century and then was nearly totally reconstructed in the first decades of the 3 rd century. (Fig. 2.) The house was improved three more times in the first half of the 3 rd century. The building was pulled down during the landscaping work which has been dated to the 70s of the century.
