Never-the-less, regrettably, we were not able to reach the southern foreground of the potters' kilns because of the earth work on-going in the north-eastern sectors. The earliest features were, disregarding the remains of a Bronze Age pit (Figure 1: 1), trenches (foundation trenches of walls?), traces of which could be followed until the central building of the potters' workshop (Figure 1: 2). (HABLE 1996, 30., Figure 75:13) The smaller pits (3, 4) and also the three wells (6-8) may be contemporary with the trench if one considers their relative stratigraphie positions alone. (Figure 3) Analysis of the find material will be necessary for a precise dating. Pit 4 may be the sunken foundation of a tent-shaped, lightroofed building supported by three posts (a shed or a barn). It had a bench on the southern side and a narrow entrance on the northern side. (Figure 4) Feature 5 appeared as a larger artificial depression in the subsoil, its northern part already having been found in 1995. (HABLE 1996, 34., Figure 17) A well each was dug in the eastern corner and the southern edge of this depression using a construction and structure known from Aquincum since 1911.
