A pebbly floor level appeared at a depth of about 1-2 m between two darker humus layers (1102 and 1108). We still found locally produced Roman period sherds in layer 1105, although the proportion of prehistoric sherds increased at the bottom of the layer. The lowermost black (!), loamy deposit (1106) contained exclusively Bronze and Copper Age sherds in downwardly decreasing numbers. The surface of the underlying grayish yellow subhumus sloped 4-5 degrees towards the west (!). The evaluation of this phenomenon is a subject for geological research. (FÜLEKY-MÁRITY 1998) We assume that it must be connected to the problem of the wide canal crossing Budaújlak in a northsouth direction. (HABLE 1995, 30.) Tibor Hable
