Már most megállapítható, hogy az Óbudai-sziget részletes rendezési terve e terjedelem-meghatározó régészeti kutatás következményeként bizonyos módosításra szorul. Foglalkozik a tanulmány a műemléki bemutatás kérdésével is. A bemutatás lehetőségei - ugyanakkor az ezzel járó szakmai felelősség - arányosak a helytartó palota fentebb fölsorolt jellemzőivel. Az összefüggő romegyüttes falai feltáráskor helyenként 2 m-nél is magasabban álltak, és az épület közmű-, és fűtőberendezéseit sok helyütt teljes épségben találták meg. Az épület falainak stabil szerkezeti állapotáról, valamint az egykori központi fűtés függőleges, üreges tégláinak minőségéről az idei szondázó-feltárás alkalmával is meggyőződhettünk. Ezek az adottságok alkalmasak arra, hogy a palota egyes helyein belső terek - enteriőrök - bemutatására, és a külső megjelenésben, arra alkalmas pontokon bizonyos tömegrekonstrukcióra lehessen gondolni.
