Ö Nagyméltóságát, Ö Felsége rendkívüli követét és meghatalmazott miniszterét Budapesten, akik jó és kellő alakban talált meghatalmazásaik kölcsönös közlése után, a következő rendelkezésekben állapodtak meg: 1. cikk. Azok a területek, amelyekre a jelen Egyezmény vonatkozik : Ö Főméltósága a Magyar Királyság Kormányzójára nézve a Magyar Királyság, Ö Felsége Nagybritannia, Írország és a Tengerentúli Brit Birtokok Királyára, India Császárára (a továbbiakban ö Felsége a Király) nézve pedig Nagybritannia és Észak-Írország Egyesült Királyság és mindaz a terület, amelyre az Egyezmény a 21. cikk rendelkezései értelmében vonatkozik, ideértve a fennhatósága alatt álló vizeket is ; »légijárómű« kitétel alatt mindkét Magas Szerződő Félre vonatkozólag az egyik Magas Szerződő Fél területén szabályszerűen lajstromozott polgári légi járóművet kell érteni, ideértve az oly állami légi járóműveket is, melyek nem állanak katonai, rendőri vagy vámszolgálatban. Megegyezés áll fenn, hogy a jelen Egyezményben használt »külföldi állam« kifejezés ö Felsége a Király bármely területére vonatkoztatva oly országot jelent, amelynek területe nem áll ö Felsége felségjoga, fennhatósága, védnöksége vagy megbízáson alapuló igazgatása alatt. His Serene Highness the Regent of the Kingdom of Hungary : Baron Gabriel Apor Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary, Permanent Undersecretary of State for Foreign Äff airs; His Majesty the King of Great Britain, Ireland and the British Dominions beyond the Seas, Emperor of India, for Great Britain and Northern Ireland : Sir Geoffrey George Knox K. C. M. G., His Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Budapest, who, after having communicated to each other their füll powers found in good and due form, have agreed as f ollows : Article 1. The territories to which the present Convention applies shall, in relation to His Serene Highness The Regent of the Kingdom of Hungary, be the Kingdom of Hungary ; and, in relation to His Majesty The King of Great Britain, Ireland and the British Dominions beyond the Seas, Emperor of India (hereinafter referred to as His Majesty The King), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and any territories to which the Convention applies by virtue of the provisions of Article 21. including the territorial waters adjacent thereto ; and the term „aircraft" in relation to either High Contracting Party means civil aircraft (including State aircraft non employed in military, police or customs Services) duly registered in the territory of such High Contracting Party. It is understood that for the purposes of the present Convention the expression „foreign country" means, in relation to any territorj^ of His Majesty The King, a country not being a territory under His Majesty's sovereignity, or under His suzerainty, protection or mandate.
