266 1063. SZÁM. shall be certilied as anthentic by the Imperial and Royal Consular officer and exhibited by him to the Japanese authorities on their demand. Ammunitions of war can only be sold to the Japanese Government and to foreigners. Regulation IX. Austro-Hungarian citizens residing in Japán, and the crews and passengers of ships, belonging to the said Monarchy shall be free to purchase for oteir own consumption supplies of those kinds of grain and flour, the export of which is prohibited by the tariff; but the usual permit must be obtained from the Custom-House, before any of the aforesaid kinds of grain or flourcan be shipped on board of an Austro-Hungarian vessél. The Japanese Government will offer no dificulty to the transport from oae open port to another of those kinds of Japanese grain and flour, the export of which to foreign ports is prohibited. Should however particular circumstances make is ^desirable, that the transport of these articles from any one of the open ports should, for a certain time be prohibited both to Japanese and foreigners, the Japanese Government will give two month's notice of such prohibition to the foreign authorities, and will further undertake that the said prohibition shall not remain longer in force than is absolutely necessary. Regulation X. The catty, mentioned in the tariff is equal to 604 grammes 53 centigrammes or 1% pound english A d. P. or 1.08 pound Austrian weight. The yard is a measure of three english feet equal to 914 millimetres. The english foot is equal to 0.3047 métres and is one eighth of an inch longer than the Japanese Kaneshaku. The Koku is equal to ten cubic feet englisch measure or to one hundred twenty feet of american timber measure of one inch in thickness. The Boo or Itziboo is a silver coin weighing not less than 8.67 grammes (134 grains Troy weight) and containing nine parts of pure silver and one part of, alloy. The cent is the one hundredth part of the Boo. Regulation XI. In order to pul a stop to the abuses and inconHadi szükségletek csak a japáni kormánynak és idegeneknek adhatók el. IX. Határozat. Japánban lakó osztrák-magyar alattvalók és osz trák-magyar hajók legénysége és azokon utazók a kiviteli vámjegyzókben tiltottaknak jelzett gabna- és lisztnemüeket saját személyes használatukra ugyan vásárolhatják, szükséges azonban az általánosan szokásos engedélynek megszerzése a vámhivataltól, mielőtt az emiitett gabna- és lisztnemüek osztrák-magyar hajóra szállíttatnának. A japáni kormány a tiltott ós japáni eredetű gabona- és lisztnemüeknek szállítását a nyílt kikötők közt akadályozni nem fogja; ha azonban különös körülmények kívánatossá tennék, hogy ezen tárgyak szállítása a nyílt kikötők valamelyikéből bizonyos időre egészben megtiltassák, ugy japániak, mint idegeneknek ez esetben a japáni kormány az ily tilalom kibocsátására irányzott szándékáról két hóval előbb fogja értesíteni az idegen hatóságokat és egyúttal gondosgodni fog arról, hogy ily tilalom csak addig tartassók fenn, mig a körülmények azt mulhatlanul követelik. X. Határozat. A vámjegyzókekben említett Catty egyenlő 604 grammes, 53 centigrammes, vagy l*/ a angol A. d. P. vagy 108 osztrák fonttal. A yara egyenlő 3 angol láb vagy 914 millimetres (vagy vonallal); az angol láb egyenlő 0.3047 miilimeterrel, ós % hüvelykkel hosszabb a japáni Kaneschakunál. A koku egyenlő tíz (10) angol kubikláb, vagy 120 lab amerikai famértókkel 1 hüvelyk vastag sággal. A Bu vagy Itribu ezüstpénzt, mely nem nyom kevesebbet 8 grammes és 67 centigrammesnál (134) gran angol pénzsulynál és 9 /io & mm ezüstöt ós l j l0 ötvözést tartalmaz. A cent századrésze a Búnak. XI.
