232 294. szám. PROTOCOL ANNEXED TO THE AGREEMENT. 1. At the moment of signing the Agreement regarding the Regulation of the Production and Marketing of Sugar of to-day's date, the signatory Governments agree that the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland shall take between this date and the assumption of its duties by the Provisional Council referred to below any steps necessary as transitional measures, including the convening of the first session of the said Provisional Council, which shall be held in London as soon as possible, the preparation of the agenda for that session, and the making of all necessary arrangements. 2. The said Governments agree to appoint, as soon as possible, representatives who shall constitute a Provisional Council, which shall exercise all the functions of the International Sugar Council to be set up under that Agreement, and which shall be subject in all respects to the provisions of Chapter VI of the said Agreement, provided that no decisions of such a Provisional Council shall be binding on the signatory Governments prior to the coming into force of the Agreement. 3. Within a period of forty days from the date of its signature of the Agreement, each signatory Government will communicate to the Government of the United Kingdom a statement as to its position in regard to ratification. 4. A cukor gyártásának és eladásának szabályozása tárgyában a mai napon kötött Nemzetközi Egyezmény aláírása pillanatában az aláíró kormányok megegyeznek abban, hogy Nagy-Britannia kormánya az alatt az idő alatt, amíg a mai naptól számítva, az alant említett Ideiglenes Tanács működését megkezdi, minden átmeneti intézkedésként szükséges lépést megtegyen, beleértve az említett Ideiglenes Tanácsnak Londonban a lehető legrövidebb időn belül megtartandó első ülése összehívását, ezen ülés tárgysorozatának az elkészítését és minden szükséges további intézkedés megtételét. 2. Az említett kormányok megegyeznek, hogy a legrövidebb időn belül kijelölik azokat a képviselőiket, akik az Ideiglenes Tanácsot alkotni fogják, amely az egyezmény értelmében felállítandó Nemzetközi Cukortanács összes teendőit végezni fogja és amely minden tekintetben alá lesz vetve az említett egyezmény VI. Fejezetében foglalt rendelkezéseknek, megállapítván, hogy ennek az Ideiglenes Tanácsnak egyetlen határozata sem lesz kötelező az aláíró kormányokra az egyezmény hatálybalépte előtt. 3. Minden aláíró kormány közölni fogja Nagy-Britannia kormányával az e'gyezménynek általa történt aláírása napját követő 40 napon belül a megerősítés tekintetében elfoglalt álláspontját. 4.
