Interjectious and „Partes orationis" by ENDRE FÜLEI-SZÁNTÓ—PÉTER SIPTÁR The authors give a short history of the category of interjections. A functional analysis of many items gives us the possibility of a modern classification. According to this interjections can be : I. onomatopoetical signs reflecting the acustical image of the outern or the inner world (= organism), II. particles of speech-acts. The latter ones are illocutionary particles expressing non-emotional, emotional and volitive intentions of the speakers. A part of the second class organizes the speech and is related to the truth-values. Thus, the bigger part of the interjections are not "partes orationis", but parts of dialogues. After the analysis of the syntactical and phonological properties of the interjections the authors emphasize their fonction : playing the part of dialogue-text particles. 6 Nyelvtudományi Közlemények 85/1.
