128 PAP MÁRIA Ha a fenti fejtegetésekből annyi kitűnt, hogy a transzformációs módszer alkalmas a hagyományos nyelvtani kategóriák finomítására, a hagyományos osztályozás ellenőrzésére és átalakítására, hogy tehát puszta eszközként az a nyelvész is felhasználhatja, akitől távol állnak a generatív grammatika filozófiai és tudományelméleti előfeltevései, akkor talán sikerült egy olyan területre felhívni a figyelmet, ahol a hagyományos nyelvészet és a generatív nyelvelmélet elkötelezett hívei szakmai tapasztalatcserét folytathatnak az állandó félreértések veszélye nélkül. S ha így lehetne, ez nem is lenne olyan kevés. PAP MÁRIA Generative grammatical sketches on the coordination The traditional description of coordination treats coordinated phrases and coordinated sentences separately and it doesn't reveal any interconnection between the différent kinds of coordination. The paper tries to give a more systematic account of coordination within the framework of generative grammar. Coordinated phrases and coordinated sentences are generated by the same rules, différences arise only at the level of lexical substitution. The systematic interconnections between the différent kinds of coordination are explained by the systematically différent distribution of the Neg, Question and Emph constituents of the Pre S in the deep structures.
