So for example 32 percent of the 27 thousand fitters with two qualifications acquired the second qualification in the iron, metal and machine industries, 29 percent of them were professional drivers and this was their second qualification. There were 5 thousand workers who had first qualification in construction and some other second qualification, one sixth of them had fitter qualification as second qualification, one fourth of them iron, metal and machine industrial second qualification and one fifth of them had professional driving licence. Having two manual qualifications is more characteristic for men than for women: in 1980 15 percent qualified manual men had second qualification, while the respective proportion was only 2 percent among the women. Among the 243 thousand manuals with two qualifications there are only 8 thousand women, which is 3 percent proportion. Most of those with two manual qualifications - both for men and for women - had industrial second qualification. One fifth of the men had transportational second qualification, one fourth of the women had trade and catering industrial second qualification. 108
