e/ PUBLICATION OF THE OCCUPATIONAL DATA The volume no. 24. of the census series was published under the title "Occupational data I.

" Following a verbal analysis of the data, the occupational data are given in three main chapters: 1. Summary data 2. Details, in addition to the tables showing nation-wide data, according to regional groups (Budapest, towns, communities) 3. Tables in county breakdown. In each chapter the following data are presented: economic activity, economic branches, occupational status and quality as well as the demographic combinations of these criteria (group of age, educational level); further, the individual occupation, the social sector, the socio-occupational group and the earner) dependant quality. Further details reporting on the nation-wide occupational data are published in the volume entitled "Occupational data II."containing a large tabulated material based on the combinations of the criteria. // THE PUBLICATION OF THE DATA CONCERNING THE HOUSEHOLDS AND THE FAMILIES The volume no. 25. dealing with the households and families displays a fully similar structure. From the methodological surveys it is well known that in the census of 1970 the household data prevailed. Accordingly, the tables show the details of the househols in three main chapters. The most important topics are: the composition of the households, the number of their members, their active earners and socio-occupational groups. As far as the families are concerned, similar data have been presented, but here the information concerning the number of the children is prevailing. g/ THE PUBLICATION OF THE DATA CONCERNING DWELLINGS AND BUILDINGS The volume no. 26. entitled "Data concerning the flats and dwelling houses I." shows the more important summary data as to the stocks of dwellings in the following breakdown: country, counties, Budapest, towns and communties. The volume gives a sound basis to the exploration of the changes in the number of flats, inhabitants and the living density during the last 50 years. It also give a summary picture concerning the destination of the dwelling units, the distribution of the flats according to the number of rooms, title of use, equipment as well as to the dwelling situation of the inhabitants belonging to the different socio-occupational groups. It also surveys the changes which occurred in the number, height, walling of the buildings and the average floor-space of the latter, during the last 50 years. It gives summary information as to the changes of the destination and the living density of the buildings in the last two decades since the liberation, as well as shows the data of the character of property, the number and living density, equipment and height of the dwelling houses. 88
