their totals by districts in 1949 were published after the data of the "Summary tables" in the previous volume. In the respective part of the present volume, only the percentage distributions are published. This volume does not contain the chapter of "Methodological remarks" and the tables according to the former locality structure of the "Summary data". In conformity with recent customs, the Contents and the Preface are published in English, too. According to our promise expressed in the preceding volume, we also publish here the percentage distribution of data on religion by localities.
