Laczik Csaba • Kökényes premontrei monostorának épület- és kőfaragvány-töredékei operated nearby, since it produced not only stones tor building purposes, but also carved stones for decoration. The assertion, dating from the 18th century, that the stonework of Kökényes Monastery was taken away in the 16th century and used in the strengthening of Hatvan Castle was corroborated. It was this removal of stone that brought about the final destruction of the monastery.
