Bevezető

and Printing Industry organised an International Paper Conservation Symposium in Budapest with the title “This will stick forever. Attaching and releasing” between May 25-27, 2005. On the occasion of holding the symposium in Hungary, the IADA authorized us to publish the somewhat abbreviated form of the lectures in a Hungarian translation. We completed the volume with a few Hungarian conservation works dealing with the same topic, among them the description of a few diploma works of eminent importance made in the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.

We think that the discussed topics, the comparison of the properties of various adhesives, the dissolution of old glues, consolidation of peeling pigments etc, are interesting not only for those dealing with paper conservation and hope that the volume will prove useful for specialists of other fields as well.
