Restaurálás - Szabó Tamás: Egy XVII. századi délszláv kézikereszt restaurálása

Creaning was first carried out following taking apart of this crucifix and the appraisal of damage. The metal parts were treated using an ELMA cleansing solution. The box wood carving was cleaned with distilled water and alcohol. The missing inlay sockets were replaced by new ones made from silver plating of identical thickness. The lost filigree decorations were also recreated. Finally, these additons were gilded in a galvanic bath and fastened to their place using Araldite, a two-component epoxy resin.
