RESTORATION OF A WOMAN’S COSTUME MADE FOR THE MILLENNIUM CELEBRATIONS

Abstracts: Restoring a very richly decorated, and many-pieced costume made of very fine fabrics always presents a lot of problems. Every piece requires an individual solution. The article describes the condition of the pieces, their cleaning, conservation, and the preparations necessary for their storage.

Hopefully, the conserved costume shall greet the 1100th anniversary of our conquest, in all its glory and “Millennium Splendour”.
