A kendőt kopott, fehér átfestés borította - alatta az eredeti színezés halvány sárga alapon fehér csíkozás Mary’s face half-cleaned: On the hair the original ochre- paint mat-gold rests were found. On the top of this, the grey- layer, on that two dark-brown overpaintings were placed. The shawl was covered with a shabby white overpainting, under this the original colour was: on the pale-yellow grounding white stripes 21
