A computer assisted retrieval system is also available in connenction with the microfilm collection. THE ARCHIVES OF THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF HUNGARY - SECTION Y, [A MAGYAR ORSZÁGOS LEVÉLTÁR LEVÉLTÁRA] Management records of the Archives created after 1875; 172,47 linear metres; Hungarian This section contains primarily resource material in connection with the history of the institution itself, as well as Hungarian archives administration. It is worth to emphasise the records of the National Communal Registration Commission [Országos Községi Törzskönyvbizottság] dealing with the assigning of names for places and with seal-related matters. The expert opinions of the Ministry of the Interior concerning certificates of nobility, and the use of coat of arms and titles of nobility should also be mentioned. FUNCTIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEPARTMENTS DEPARTMENT VIII - DEPARTMENT OF REPROGRAPHY In addition to safeguarding and handling the Microfilm Collection, this department operates a microfilm laboratory as well. The main function of this laboratory is to produce microfilms for security reasons and for preservation to be used by researchers. The microfilms used are 35 and 16 mm roll films. The following services are available: microfilms, colour and black/white photos (enlargements as well), electrostatic copies from original and microfilm.
