It is worth to mention the fonds of the Hungarian Commission of the FAO [FAO Magyarországi Bizottsága] (1947-1974) as well as those of the Council of Cooperatives [Termelőszövetkezeti Tanács] (1953-1967). No. XXVIII main group of fonds - Associations [Egyesületek] Period of 1945-1949; 0,72 linear metres; Hungarian No. XXXII main group fonds - Collections [Gyűjtemények] Period of 1945-1988; 5 linear metres; Hungarian DEPARTMENT VII - DEPARTMENT FOR RECORDS OF THE HWPP AND HSWP [MDP-MSZMP ERATOK OSZTÁLYA] This department keeps the records of the Hungarian Working People's Party [Magyar Dolgozók Pártja] (1948-1956) and later the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party [Magyar Szocialista Munkáspárt] (1956-1989) which were the ruling parties of the "socialist" system; 3.986,97 linear metres; (Section M.) As a result of a Parliamentary decision, this archival material was trasferred to the National Archives of Hungary in 1992. Records of the central organs of the HWPP and the party organisations directly dependent on them [Az MDP központi szervei és a közvetlen alárendeltségükben működő pártszervek iratai] Period of 1948-1956; 298,03 linear metres; Hungarian Only small fragments remained from the records of the Congress, the chief organ of the party. The archival material (drafted and word for word minutes, reports, etc.) of the leading bodies such as the Central Board [Központi Vezetőség], the Politburo [Politikai Bizottság], the Secretariat [Titkárság], the Organising Committee [Szervező Bizottság] are of great importance. Among the records of the secretaries of the Central Board, an especially important sub-fonds entitled "Secretarial records of Mátyás Rákosi" is one of the most interesting source of the period 1948-1956.
