The Cathedral Chapter of Esztergom in the Fifteenth Century 163 Mantova (3.2.), and 6 May 1460 from Siena (3.3.) to the chapter of Esztergom. Their publication here was justified by the fact that their content is very closely related to the topic discussed in the book, as the letters of Palicsnai not only reported on the actual state of the litigation, but also advised his chapter on the measures to be taken in the procedure. As a matter of fact, nor did he forget to provide information about his own — miserable — situation. The fourth, and final, chapter of the present volume offers a chronology of events of the litigation over the tithes of Sasad (Nevegy) from the beginning until January 1465. The sources of the individual events are given in brackets next to the item concerned. Dates given in square brackets refer to events reconstructed from non-directly related information. The book is closed by the bibliography of sources and secondary literature, a list of abbreviations, and an index of personal and placenames.
