Diplomatarium comitum terrestrium Crisiensium (1274-1439) Gulinch. Again, we only know that they held the office, and we have no information regarding their connections to families or kindreds, just as is the case with Gregory (before 1339) and Lucas, son of Simon (1372).95 About three fifteenth-century comites terrestres we know about more or less details from their lives. Of them, the first who held the office of the comes terrestris was Peter, son of Peter of Osudevo (de Ozugio), which was a great-grandson of the fourteenth-century comes terrestris Demetrius, son of John.96 He had two brothers, George and Henry, and a sister Margaret. In the sources, the brothers are mentioned together in 1416, when, in front of the chapter of Čazma, together with their cousin Valentin, son of Peter, they have agreed to divide the estate in a way that each of the relatives should receive an equal part97 Peter, who was later comes terrestris, was probably during his youth a retainer of a certain nobleman, yet we do not know in whose service he has entered. In any case, we know that he was a part of King Sigismund's entourage in Constance and that Peter there has received, together with his brothers, a new donation, for merits in his Majesty's service, but the charter does not provide us more details on the matter.98 99 In august of 1417, the king wrote to the chapter of Zagreb to institute Peter and his brother to the estate, which it has done on 27 September 1417." After the institution, the brothers have declared in front of the chapter of Zagreb that the aforementioned donation should have had related to Valentin, their cousin and part-taker in the estate, though he was not explicitly mentioned in the grant.100 A new research will be needed on Peter's activities after 1426. Matthew, son of John of Hrsovo is mentioned as the head of the castle district of Križevci in 1437. At the turn of the fourteenth to the fifteenth century, his father was a noble magistrate (iudex nobilium) of the Križevci county, which means that he was held in the high esteem within this small community. He was also a faithful follower of the politics of King Sigismund of Luxemburg. We know he had three sons: alongside aforementioned Matthew, he had John and Andrew. Matthew is mentioned in 95 Together with Stephen, comes of Križevci, son of Ban Paul and comes terrestris Demetrius, son of John, he was sent to conduct an inquiry on 23 September 1340 (Documenta 6). 96 16 May 1426 (Documenta 56).
