Out of the previously described pouched amphistomes from Viet Nam, Carmyerius min utus (Fischoeder, 1901) and Gastrothylax glandiformis Yamaguti, 1939 were not recovered in samples available for examination. DROZDZ and MALCZEWSKI (19 67), who pointed out these species in Viet Nam for the first time, did not present a solid basis for assumption their occurrence in this country.
