Mitropolitul Sava Brancovici in viziunea cárturarului Vasile Netea METROPOLITE SAVA BRANCOVICI IN THE VIEW OF THE SCHOLAR VASILE NETE Summary Vasile Netea, the scholar from Mures Valley, was a spiritual person.He was a scholar passioned of holy things, close to the men of the Church, its great hierarchs. Through his writing, he approached religious literature, conferring it an important role in the action of improving the culture level of the Romanian people. Netea approaches with humbleness the study of the lives of the Romanian Church great personalities, creators of Romanian culture and language and fighters for the national ideal of Romanians. Are worth mentioning here the extremely beautiful words which the scholar Vasile Netea dedicated to one of the greatest hierarchs of Transylvania, a saint of the Romanian people, the metropolitan Sava Brancovici.Through his great deeds and accomplished spiritual life the metropolitan Sava Brancovici can be considered one the most important hierarchs of the Romanian Orthodox Church from Transylvania .Taking into account his accomplished spiritually life and his steadyness in orthodoxism, the Holy Council of the Romanian Church beatified the Metropolitan Sava Brancovici in 1950, deciding that he was to be honored as a confessor saint in the whole Romanian Orthodox Church, together with forerunner Ilie Iorest.Their memorial is done each year on the 24th of April. 171
