VULNERABLE FLORA SPECIES IN NATURAL PARK BUCEGI Andreea Natalia MATEI Universitatea din Pitejti, Str. Tárgu din Vale nr.l, RO—110040 Pitejti, mateiandreeanatalia@gmail.com Abstract: The biodiversity conservation and the ecology reconstruction are necessary all over the planet, in order to have an environment to ensure a sustainable development on Earth. Specialists through sozology try to find the proper measures to stop or at least mitigate the plant extinction. Over Romania’s territory there are 847 protected areas of which 16 are natural parks, like Natural Park Bucegi. Through the rich flora with a high diversity, Bucegi Massif has a main role in Romanian Carpathians, which attract the attention of many researchers at both nationally and internationally level. Natural Park Bucegi covers 14 Natural Reserves, areas which needs a high level of flora protection. Major ecosystems of Bucegi Natural Park are typical for the boreal-continental area, some of the most complex in Europe, very well preserved. Keywords: sozological, vulnerable, IUCN, Bucegi, conservation measures Introduction Natural Park Bucegi is a protected area of national interest which is included in V IUCN category. Framing the present species as vulnerable was made taking into account the International Union for Conservation of Nature - IUCN categories, the main network of professionals worldwide with a leading environment and sustainable development authority. By the Ministry of Environment low nr.7/1990, Natural Park Bucegi was formalized for the first time as a national park. Natural Park Bucegi include habitats with a high or very high conservative value, at national and international level: southeast Carpathian meadows of Nardus stricta and Viola declinata, Dacian forests of Symphyto-Fagion, southeast Carpathian forests of Picea abies with Soldanela hungarica. The purpose of this paper is the identification of vulnerable species in Natural Park Bucegi flora and their measures for conservation. The preparation of this project followed these objectives: geographical, geological and climatic characterization of Bucegi western sector, description of sozological categories and vulnerable species, endemic value of identified species, cormoflora analysis and establishment of the necessary conservation measures. Materials and methods The establishment of the vulnerable plants was made on the basis of the following references: Red List of extinct endangered, vulnerable and rare higher plants of Romania flora (Bojcaiu, M A R I S I A, XXXIII-XXXIV, p. 97-110
