Felician Suciu: Despărţământul "Târgu-Mureş" al "Astrei" între ani 1913-1922
Marisia XXXII-XXXIII Despärtämäntul „Tärgu-Mure§” al „Astrei” intre anii 1913-1922 Felician SUCIU The dividing Astra Tárgu-Mures between 1913-1922 Abstract In 1869, when Ladislau Vasiliu baron of Pop (1867- 1875) was the chairman of ASTRA, were created cultural and territorial units called dividings, also divided in subunits named circles. Despite the Trasylvanian Society’s proposal for such a dividing to be founded in Tärgu Mure§ at the date of August 11th 1869, this has only been possible in July 6th 1876. This material refers to the Tärgu Mure§ dividing mentioned above during the years between 1913 and 1922. In 1913, within the framework of the general assembly of the dividing (which took place in the commune of Bála) this dividing was restructured and reconfigured, consisting of 46 communes and 5 circles with barrister dr. loan Pantea elected as chairman. At the time, Transylvania was under Austro-Hungarian domination, so obviously the Hungarians made the „rules”, using every reason they could find to prevent the Romanian cultural meetings from happening. The start of the World War I in 1914 - in which Romania only took part starting with 1916 - resulted not only in the earning of the independence of Transylvania and the unification of the Romanian historical provinces, but it also led to a state of disorder among institutions including ASTRA. During the war, loan Pantea became prisoner of the Russians, while Vasile Tatar, vice-chairman of the dividing and librarian dr. Bara had both passed away. The meeting in February 3rd 1921 led to the election of Simion Gocan as chairman of the Tärgu Mure§ dividing. He was proposed the establishment of a museum as part of the Palace of Culture whose chairman would be Aurel Filimon. In Bucharest, minister Paul Brata§anu intended to send to Tärgu Mure§ 100 people’s libraries and 50 books for each commune in this county. The minister would take part in the organization of 106 schools in the county as well as in the offering of the didactic materials and books theese schools required and 45 bells for the Romanian churches - everything until the month of December 1921. In December 11th 1921 at 10 o’clock the 45 bells were blessed in the central square of Tärgu Mure§ and 125 people’s libraries have been distributed, but nor the king or the chairman of the Central ASTRA attended the event, as expected. In March 1922, the leadership of the Central ASTRA in Sibiu approved to dividing secretary loan Bozdog that 124 people’s libraries would be taken over by the dividing of Tärgu Mure§. In April 18th 1922, highschool teacher Ion Cheri was elected chairman of the dividing in Gocan’s place. Keywords: the Tärgu Mure§ dividing, dr. loan Pantea, highschool teacher Ion Cheri Cuvinte cheie: despärtämäntul Tärgu-Mure§, dr. loan Pantea, profesorul de liceu Ion Cheri Cel de-al doilea pre§edinte al „Astrei” Tntre anii 1867-1875 a fost Ladislau Vasiliu baron de Pop.
