„PRÁSNELELE” - ORNAMENTS OF THE MALE FOLK COSTUME FROM THE CÄLIMANI ZONE

„Prásnelele” of brass, belongs of the men ornament of girdle, made up in a set with the bridgegroom rings, crosses for decoration of the pockets of money belt and axes. The source zone (the Calimani Mountains) is making up in a storehouse of material and spiritual goods which indicating our presence in the dawn of human civilization and continuity of living of Romanian population in zone, fact proved through the identity and continuity of „prasnele” which it taken us in past until in the Thracian period.

The work popularize this type of ornament constitutued in a valuable collection of Ethnographic Museum of Tg. Mures which totalize almost 400 pieces, today dissapeared from the folk costume of the same time and the dissapearance of popular masters.

Through the artistic message, the ornament which constitutes the topic of the present work is constitued in bearer of patrimony value in the Romanian traditional civilization.
