Botany

The vegetation of shrubs in Moresti area (Mures County) Pruno spinosae-Crataegetum Soó (1927) 1931 It is the most common shrub association in the investigated area. It is encountered mainly in agricultural territories of planar level to the hill level. In the studied area, it is found at altitudes between 400-430 m, on slopes with western and south-west exposure. In addition to shrub species, many transgressive species of Querco-Fagetea and Festuco-Brometea classes (Table 2) were found in the studied clumps. Due to the diversity of flora components, the association is developing under large amplitude of stationary conditions. Being under intense anthropogenic influences, the association is often destabilized, or even destroyed, but has a great capacity for regeneration. fhe soil and climate condition, in which the association develops, promotes the development of mesophilous (26.09%) and xeromesophilous (52.18%) species. Temperature promote micro-mesothermal (39.42%) and soil pH promote low-acid neutrophilous (42.03%) and euryionic species 27.54% (Fig. 5). The inclusion of the studied territory in the temperate, non-arid climate region is confirmed by the presence of a large number of hemicryptophytes (71.01%), along with a significant number of terophytes (8.7%). Phanerophytes are present in a percentage of 14.49% (Fig. 6). Among the floristic elements, the most numerous are Eurasian (23.19%), followed by European (14.5%). Mediterranean species (10.15%), Paleotemperate and Eurosiberian species (13.05%) are found with remarkable frequencies (Fig. 7). As a result of the soft climate and the preservative character of this association the diploid species number (55.89%) is more increased than the polyploides one (44.12%), (Fig. 8).
