Botany
Silvia OROIAN, Mihaela SÁMÁRGHITAN, Mariana HIRITIU, Manuela CURTICÄPEAN There are also present characteristic species of the order Arrhenatheretalia: Agrostis capillaris (AD2), Ajuga reptans, Arrhenatherum elatius, Carum carvi, Centaurea nigrescens, Crepis biennis, Cynosurus cristatus, Hieracium pilosella and Rhinanthus rumelicus. Species of Phragmitetalia order have infiltrated in the coenoses: Epilobium roseum, Lycopus europaeus, Lythrum salicaria. There are also present species of Festuco-Brometea class: Agrimonia eupatoria, Coronilla varia, Dianthus carthusianorum, Erigeron acris, Galium verum, Hypericum perforatum, Pimpinella saxifraga, Plantago media, Scabiosa ochroleuca, Thymus pulegioides. The grasslands are used as hayfields with great phytomass production but of poor quality. Phytocoenoses are rich in fodder, medicinal and honey plants. NATURA 2000: 6440 Alluvial meadows of river valleys of Cnidion dubii CLAS. PAL.: 37.23 HdR: R3712, R3715, R3716 Agrostetum stoloniferae (Újvárosi 1941) Burduja et al. 1956, 1958 Creeping bentgrass is present in the wet land areas of hilly regions where ground water is found near the surface of soils with clay-loam textures In the investigated area, the association takes considerable expansion, coenoses being analyzed in Cri§, Saschiz, Daia, between Nou Säsesc and Rondola, and in 2007, identified in Fi§er. Despite the likelihood of physiognomic uniformity, the surveys revealed a remarkable diversity of flora (202 cormophytic species, Table 3). In addition to recognizable species of Molinion alliance and of Arrhenatheretalia order, there were also many species characteristic of Molinio-Arrhenatheretea class: Achillea millefolium, Anthoxanthum odoratum, Briza media, Centaurea jacea, Cerastium holosteoides, Festuca rubra, Holcus lanatus, Leucanthemum vulgaris, Lychnis flos-cuculi, Prunella vidgaris, Ranunculus acris, Rhinanthus rumelicus, Stellaria graminea, Trifolium pratense, Trifolium repens etc. These meadows are good fodder, being used as pastures for cattle.
