Incision on the lip The decoration of the bowls mostly consists of horizontal channelling inside the rim (Fig. XVII/No. 80, 82-85 and XVIII/No. 86). The channelling of the lip can be horizontal (Fig. XVII/No. 78; XVIII/No. 87), slightly oblique (Fig. XVII/No. 81) or spiral (Fig. XVIII/No. 89). In one case we have horizontal channelling on the body (Fig. XVIII/No. 8828 29). The lip and rim of the deep bowls are decorated with slightly oblique channelling (Fig. XV, No. 64), horizontal channelling (Fig. XVI/No. 67) or spiral channelling (Fig. XVI/No. 69). Regarding the shallow bowls (Fig. XV/No. 55-61) only one fragment is decorated with a profiled rim (Fig. XV/No. 56). Numerous black-polished fragments belonging to large bitronconic vessels have a characteristic decoration on the upper part of the body represented by garland channelling24 (Fig. XIII/No. 41-43; XIV/No. 47-49). As well decorated with horizontal channelling of the vessels inside the rim (Fig. XIII/No. 37, 38), on the neck (Fig. XIII/No. 40) and upper part of the body30 (Fig. XIV/No. 44-46). We didn’t find characteristic elements for the first phase of the Gáva culture: empty conical protuberances and horizontal channelling on the neck31. J.
