Tatár Árpád: Aşezarea neolitică de la Herina (judeţul Bistriţa-Năsăud)
A§EZAREA NEOLITICÄ DE LA HER1NA (JUDETUL BISTRITA-NÄSÄUD) Tatár árpád Bistrita-Näsäud The Neolithic Settlement from Herina (Bistrita-Näsäud County) In September 1997 at circa 600 m SW from Herina, on Dealul Morii-Mill’s Hill, an archaeological excavation was carried out. With this occasion, there were opened six E-W oriented trenches (Si—Se), disposed one after the other. In S3 and S4, situated on the eastern hill slope, a few Neolithic potsherds were found. In S5 (9 x 2 m), disposed at circa 100 m from S2, a light brown Neolithic layer and a pit house were discovered. Dr. L. Vaida included the Neolithic pottery in the Сщ culture. The paste of the vessels was mixed (in different combinations) with sand, milled potsherds and a small quantity of vegetable material, some of the potsherds are covered with brown angoba, the majority of them lacking it because of the soil acids. The forms are amphorae, tureen / bowl, bowls and a rush light. From the vessels just two bowls have exact correspondents in the CCTLNI cultural complex, the rest of them having analogies in the Banatului culture at Parta. Because this last cultural entity lived at Parta at the Vinca Bi and B2 time span, and because at Herina there are no such vessel forms, which may suggest a later horizon, we suggest the same time span for the Neolithic settlement of Herina. This is enforced by the vegetal material mixture in the vessels’ paste too; although this is present in small quantities. In our opinion, the Neolithic potsherds of Herina can be attributed to the Cluj - Cheile Turzii or to the Lumea Nouä group, but we can't tell yet sure, because of the small quantity of the finds. In septembrie 1997 pe „Dealul Morii” de la Herina, deal situat la SV de sat, la cca. 600 m de §oseaua Reghin-Bistrita §i in imediata apropiere a celei ce duce spre Lechinta, a avut loc un sondaj arheologic, cu care ocazie au fost trasate 6 sectiuni dispuse E-V, la distantä unele de altele, pentru a se verifica un spatiu cät mai mare. In sectiunile S3 ?i S4, trasate in continuarea S2 in panta esticä a dealului, au fost descoperite cáteva fragmente ceramice. In S5 (9 x 2 m), aflatä la cca. 100 m nord de S2, a fost descoperit §i un nivel neolitic intr-un strat de pämänt de culoare brun deschis, fiind surprinsä partial §i о locuintä adäncitä, pe fundul cäreia era un strat compact de chirpici (Planta I1).
