Is torié 315 DATE N01 CU PRIVIRE LA REALIZÄRILE EDILITARE DIN PERIOADA PRIMARIATELOR LUI Dr. EMIL-AUREL DANDEA IOAN EUGEN MAN Updating on the urbanistic achievement during the mayorship of Dr. Emil Aurel Abstract After the aut of common development of the town of Tärgu-Mure§ in the first two decades of the 20th century, right after the First World War the economic and social life of the town fell into a sort of involution, with no particular urbanistic achievements. However the apperance of dr. Emil Aurel Dandea as head of the town administration, during his two mayorships (1923-1926 and 1934-1937) meant a revival of the economic and urbanistic progress of the town. From the very beginning, this Romanian mayor was interested in developing a systematization plan for the urbanistic development of the town, which he considered to be a must of a modern place. He demonstrated interest in enlarging the inhabited areas creating new streets and implicitly new district, like those in the area of streets Libertätii, Gheorghe Doja and Budiului, the Clerks’ Residential District, etc. The rhythm of building new homes increased a lot and during his administration the greatest number of construction licences was issued. He was concerned about building modern, comfortable houses, equipped with running water and sewage, gas heating and electricity. The style of the new buildings is remarkable, raning from traditional homes to Secession, new Bräncovenesc or modern styles similat to those thet can be seen at European level. La sesiunea comemorativä desfä§uratä la Tärgu-Mure§ in data de 18 august 1994, la ímplinirea unui sfert de veac de la moartea lui Emil-Aurel Dandea §i dezvelirea monumentului primarului román, am prezentat о primä comunicare cu privire la realizárile edilitare din Tárgu-Mure§ ín timpul celor douä primariate ale acestuia1 Cercetärile ulterioare au dezväluit noi aspecte cu privire la preocuparea primarului román pentru solutionarea numeroaselor probleme edilitare majore ale urbei, íntre care, dezvoltarea localitätii pe baza unui plan unic de sistematizare, asigurarea construirii de noi locuinte de cätre cetätenii ora§ului §i asanarea celor insalubre. Timp de aproape douä decenii, corespunzätoare primei párti a secolului al XX- lea, ora§ul Tärgu-Mure§ a cunoscut о dezvoltare economicä §i socialä färä precedent, constituind о perioadá hotárátoare ín formarea ora§ului modern. Atunci a debutat §irul numeroaselor constructii publice, s-au pavat sträzile §i s-au amenajat trotuarele, au fost trasate noi sträzi §i s-au construit noi cartiere, locuri de odihnä §i, nu in ultima instanta, s-au construit uzine comunale. Desigur, toate aceste realizäri s-au infäptuit cu sprijinul statului ungar, care urmárea un scop precis: transformarea Tärgu-Mure§ului intr-un puternic centru de influentä íntr-o zonä dominant románeascá.
