In the work a survey of the industrial wood working is made in the town Reghin, during more than 116 years of documentary existence, marking the remarkable moments which influenced this activity up to the present.

In the first 50 years of existence of the industrial wood working in the town, the fundamental products were represented by the resinous sawn timber, then that of beech, progressing gradually, after the year 1920, to the finite products as: doors, windows, package, furniture, crafts, musical instruments, sports goods, etc.

The first industrial units were driven hydra'uldcally by the water of the Mure? and the Gurghiu.

In 1880 John Müller’s Firm uses steam power in actioning the mill saws at Reghin, followed then, in 1888, at the Resinous Sawn Wood Factory I erb us, state property.
