The American Hungarian Foundation, under his leadership, funds and initiates academic programs of Hungarian studies, research and fellowships at numerous colleges and uni­versities in America and abroad. In PHASE ONE the Foundation raised S3 million in 1989 to build its Museum, Library and Archives facility in New Brunswick, NJ. The Library is an Affiliate Library of the Rutgers University Library. PHASE TWO has a goal of $10 million in endowment and capital funds. He serves on the boards of numerous institutions including the Advisory Board of the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School; he is a trustee of the Corvina Foundation, Inc., Princeton, NJ, and he was a founding member of the board of The Mason W. Gross Foundation. Since 2001 he is chairman of the Ethics Board of the City of New Brunswick, NJ.
