Christmas celebration in a Hungarian fashion was organized by the Pannónia Club just before the holiday. Though churches that have children in their congregation usually put on a nativity scene or a limited performance within the regular service. Very few extend these to be done in Hungarian or with the original tradition. The Pannónia Club, on the other hand, every year brings together a fair number of little “Hungarians” from the community to participate in this religious event performing with poems, readings, songs, and music. Twenty four children on the stage warmed the hearts of the sizeable audience, that show their appreciation by applauding and cheering. They also participated singing the traditional Christmas songs. The performance was organized by Judith Balogh, the president of the Club; Enikő Jónás, and Eva Mikolai, who spent a full school year with her two boys in Debrecen, Hungary.
