NATIONAL CELEBRATION OF JÍ/UvicU"J5, Every year the Pannónia American Hungarian Club holds this event with the participation of other organizations. This year it will be held on SUNDAY, MARCH 18, 3:30 PM at the BESSEMER CENTER, 2200 North Ave in Bridgeport, CT. The guest speaker at the program will be Hungary’s Ambassador, General Consul, the Honorable Dr. László Molnár. The rich program will include a Hungarian folkdance group from New York, our favorite concert singer Reka Leszay, and pianist Tellef Johnson. Also, László Pal will recite the tradi­tional “Talpra Magyar.” We will report on the event and the other participants in our next issue. APRIL 6, SATURDAY the famous cimbalom virtuoso, Kálmán Balogh, will perform with his Hungarian orchestra at the Bessemer Center. Details in our next issue. The Museum of the American Hungarian Foundation in New Brunswick will have an art exhibit of the famous Hungarian painter, László Mednyanszky, from March 11 to September 16. On Friday March 2, 2001 they will entertain us at the Bessemer Center (2200 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT). The two hour show will start at 7:30 PM. The outstanding performers, some whom we already know, are: Monica Fischl, primadonna; József Jankovits, bonvivan; Szilvia Szvetnyik, Soubrette dancer; József Bozso, comedian dancer; Gabor Szirtes, comedian; and Valér Hegedűs at the piano.
