LIME-UP OF THE STARS As an annual event, this past year too, the Pannónia Club organized the Hungarian Children’s Christmas. It was held at the Bessemer Center with a sizable attendance. The performance was really outstanding. The children, most of them from the Hungarian School at Calvin UCC, recited their poems and played their roles speaking Hungarian. Even those did well who had little knowledge or practice in the language. Finally the sound problem was solved. Every child knew exactly how to speak into the microphone. Naturally this brought up the quality of the show. Praise is to be given to some grown-ups who worked with the children. Julia Borsos was the chairman in charge. Two teachers, Enikő Jonas and Eva Mikolai, educators in their own right, with the help of the many parents made sure that everything went like clock-work. The seasonal decoration provided a heartwarming setting for this traditional event. The opening and closing prayers by Reverends Judith Mayer and Dr. Alexander Havadtoy touched everybody’s soul. Sara Matolcsy, president of the Pannónia Club pointed out the necessity of supporting our children. Photo Kakas creativity 5y...
