L@©K INTO TH€ €V€ onetime one has the feeling watching TV that the person presenting a program did not do his homework. Usually, they pop the question, bring in opposing “experts" and have the conclusion dangle in mid air with out resolving anything. Recently. I saw one of this kind of a program. Äs you might guessed, knowing me. there has to be a Hungarian angle to it. Well there is. As it happened Extra on nally started out using the charts of the founder, he added on to those, refined them and brought them up to date. So w here did the iridology start.? Naturally in Hungary. In the early 1800s a little boy, Ignatz von Peczely, liked to climb trees like most Hungarian boys. Messing around with birds nests, he tried to gain knowledge and experience about that world. It happened that one day Ignatz caught an owl. Without sider having problems. As you could see in the charts besides the markings in the radius pattem, there are several circles going around. Naturally these give different meanings to the easy discoveries. It seems to be very simple, but don’t let that fool you. Even an expert has to take time out and study the markings, also their relations to eachother. Don’t give up your doctor’s appointment as of now. NBC had a segment on Iridology. The title of it was:”New way to evaluate your health.’’ Iridology is a claimed science that examines the colored part of the eye. the iris. Based on markings in it and different blemishes, they tell where the ailments are in the body. Some people swear that there is no mistake, others reject the idea stating that there is no nerve connection from all the body parts to the iris of the eye. The interviewed person practicing iridology pointed out two ailments of the TV reporter. Rick Schwarz. One was the pain in the left shoulder. I forgot the other one. but tire reporter admitted both. A third one he dismissed. (He should see a doctor about it!) So let us learn something about iridology and about the Hungarian side of it Most of our information comes from Dr. Bemard Jensen, of California. He wrote several books on the subject and was considered the leading authoritv on indologv in America. The charts that you see on this page are designed by Dr. Jensen. He origianv intention to do so, he accidentally broke one of the owl’s leg. Therefor it was up to him to mend it and take care of the bird. Closely looking at the owl, staring into the bird’s huge eyes, he noticed the sudden appearance of a spot at the bottom of the iris. The spot developed slowly into a dark line that travelled all the way to the pupil. He was amazed at such a change. The real expenence followed after this. As time went by. his care of the bird was getting successful. The leg of the bird healed and in this healing process the dark line in the iris slowly faded away and was hardly noticeable when he let the owl free. This observation stayed with Peczely, even when he became a physician. Dealing with people and their ailments, he was in the right place to work out patterns linking the iris with the different problems of the body If we carefully read the charts, making sure that you don'l mix up the left with the nght. you might find your known ailment in the iris of yours. You may be able to find the location of the organs you might con-Though Dr. Richard Apt in the TV interview discards the possibility of having connecting nerves, the experience shows a pattem that is statistically proven. Maybe Dr. Apt should consider a different method of communication. He looks at the nerves as telephone wires, maybe he should consider something like broadcasting. It is done every day. Don’t we receive the messages on the radio or TV? I’m sure that one day some Hungarian will come up with the right answer. Doctors in iridology use high powered cameras to make detailed images. These images show much more of the most minute differences then one could see with the naked eye. The next step might be to put these enlarged photographs into the computer and receive a fully detailed diagnosis of a persons health status Then they could;d go to the doctor and tell linn what to look for. Remember my words. I’m a Hungarian. Hungarians, as far as I know, always like to look into the eyes. Joseph F. Balogh Page 3 IRIS CHART
