UPCOMTVO EVE1VIS OCT. 13. SUNDAY the Calvin United Church of Christ celebrates the 70-th ANNIVERSARY. Following the 10:00 AM special worship service the Banquet will be at the Three Doors Restaurant. Committee members are Rev. Bela Poznan, Raymond Gilliam, Elizabeth G. Turrell, Margaret Kaminski, Margaret Beres and Elizabeth Sefcik. OCT 23. WEDNESDAY from 11:00 AM to 200 PM at the State Capitol Building we will be celebrating Hungary’s 1100-th Anniversary, the 1956 Revolution, and Connecticut Governor John G. Rowland’s Proclamation of Hungarian-American Day. Dignitaries of the Republic of Hungary and local leaders will address the audience. A program will round out the celebration and following there will be a reception with a light lunch. The commit­tee will appreciate it if ladies will bring home made Hungarian pastries. At your churches and organizations you may sign up for bus transportation, also to receive more information. OCT. 27. SUNDAY at Noon a COM­MEMORATIVE PROGRAM of the 40-th Anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution at the Hungarian Community Hall in Wallingford. Guest speaker Zsuzsa Simándi. SUNDAY starting at 12:00 noon at the United Hall (First United Church of Christ) they will have the 44-th ANNUAL HUNGARIAN FESTIVAL For lunch they are offering Chicken Paprikash, Hungarian style Kolbász with Kraut, and Stuffed Cabbage. Booths will sell artifacts and food. NOV. 10. SUNDAY 1:00 TO 5:00 PM, ST. EMERY FEAST DAY (BUCSU) at the School Hall. Dinner - Soups, Stuffed Cabbage, Roast Pork, Hungarian pastries - will be served. Beverage and set-ups will be available. B.Y.O.B. Dancing to the music of Budapest Melodies. NOV. 17. SUNDAY at 3:00 PM at the Club Room of the Calvin United Church of Christ the American Hungarian Heritage Association will have the annual ’’HUN­GARY VISITED” afternoon. People who recently visited Hungary will show their slides and photographs and tell their exciting experiences. After the show you are invited to a recep­tion with coffee. Ladies are asked to bring along some of their fine Hungarian pas­tries.
