\ CELEBRATION I tried to figure out how man/ generations would make up onethousand onehundred /ears. Based on twent/-five /ears for one generation it only ads up to fort/four. (Somehow the number of years seem to be a lot more, probatay because it is a big number. At a given time three generations could be living together in a family, and it is quite frequent to have four generations. Well, roughly these numbers show the time and the amount of generations that spanned in Hungary since the Conquest happened. It started with a half million and now it is up to ten million within the borders and an other five million Hungarians scattered around in the world. This year fifteen million Hungarians pay tribute to the founders of the Hungarian nation. We all celebrate this historical event and express our hopes that we would love to see Hungary and her people prosper and have freedom with self determination. We with the Magyar News will also join in the celebration and bring articles on the ancient Hungarians, about their migration and life. We will have this program going through the year, even though our resources are limited. If you or a friend of your could help out in our effort, we would appreciate it on our and our readers behalf. We trust that we will have a beautiful year. V_______________________________________J "Mary T(atom ScfioCarsfiip Award" ‘Tea Tarty The American Hungarian Heritage Association established the "Mary Katona Scholarship".
