This year the 14th Annual Bazaar of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church was a tremendous success. From the friendly atmosphere, Hungarian hospitality, to the delicious foods, everyone can say they had a great time. Here at Holy Trinity the men and women of our parish begin preparing for the bazaar at least 7 months in advance. Ladies of our parish were making arts and crafts for 6 months. Then for food they made 2,500 stuffed cabbages, baked 5,500 small filled cookies, hundreds of nut and poppy seed rolls at the church hall and hundreds of different cakes at home. Young men of our parish were in charge of the kitchen. 850 pounds of fresh homemade Hungarian kolbász, delicious Hungarian goulash, pumpkin soup, stuffed cabbage, cabbage and noodles, roast beef sandwiches, breaded chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers, cakes and cookies were on our menu. Elementary school age children, high school teenagers, young ladies and men, happy retired parishioners, in other words every age group worked dedicatedly on the page 4 success of our bazaar. We are very thankful to God that He blessed our small parish with dedicated people, who are willing to work for their parish and for the glory of God. Everyone in some way helps make our bazaar better and better each and every year. For those of you who haven’t been to our bazaar listed below are some of the assorted booths and games we had: Handicraft booth, cake and pastry booth, paint your face, Hungarian store, religious booth, money wheel, birthday game, straw booth, tea-cup raffle, confectionery booth and much, much more! For all of you who came to our bazaar this year, we hope you had a great time and will continue to come every year with your friends. I express my most sincere thanks and appreciation for your gracious presence and for your support. Hopefully see you next year on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of October, 1994, at the Holy Trinity Bazaar.
