One is the Wheel of Fortune. The contestants have to fill in the blanks with letters and in this process solve the questions. When a player hits on a right letter, the beautiful young lady, Vanna White, turns the blank panel to show the other side with the letter on it. She is called the letter-turner. Being a popular game in the U.S., other countries’ TV stations developed their own to fit their language. The Hungarians weren’t left out of this. They have the show and they have their own Vanna. She is not called Vanna, her name is Dora Prokopp. She is 26 years old with a lovely smile, sparkling eyes and a diploma. She is a physician and works in an emergency room. Besides turning the letters, her presence can come in handy just in case some player gets overexcited over the big money they won, or the other way, faint when they are leaving empty-handed. It would be interesting to know if it is easier to play the Hungarian game compared to the English because of the phonetic writing. So if you are visiting Hungary, please tune in for a Wheel of Fortune Game and let us know how it went. h.h.
