EVENTS OF MAY 1991 For addresses and phone number see listing under regular schedules. STOCKS WITH EXPRESS The only stock exchange in Eastern Europe is opening its doors in Budapest. This is good news because this brings Hungary into the international market. You may also buy Hungarian stock in the United States. These are issued by FOTEX RT., and carried by the Salomon Bros. Co. At the same time American Express opened up an office in Budapest. This is a sizable contribution to keep hard currency out of the black market. There are restrictions on Hungarian citizens who may own only Visa or Master Card. TO THE READER As you know the Magyar News is free and you can pick it up at the Hungarian churches at the end of every month. If you wish to receive it to your home send 5-6 or more self addressed, stamped envelopes at a time. We can’t do the addressing.
