EVENTS OF JANUARY 1991 For addresses and phone number see listing under regular schedules. Continued well known constitutional scholar of the same name, and the grandson of Bishop László Ravasz. The school building, erected in 1928, requires extensive repair work, since under the Communist rule everything was thoroughly neglected. The Reformed people of Hungary, in spite of the very difficult financial conditions, have contributed generously for the restitution of this school. The next college to be reopened will be the Reformed College of Pápa, in Western Hungary. A forceful financial campaign was started by the alumnies of the school, living in America, to expedite its earliest possible restitution. One of the problems that hinders the revitalization of the Hungarian Reformed Church is the fact that the old guard, appointed by the Communist regime, is still in power. In January of the coming year, when new elections will take place, these sorrowful remnants of a sad past will hopefully disappear, and the church can resume its work with a new robust strength and vitality.
