18. oldal MAGYAR EGYHÁZ Szórványgyülekezetek helyzete Felvidéken The situation of the congregations in diasporas ’’Isten azért hagy el sokszor, hogy annál jobban velünk legyen. ” A trianoni döntés után, a két világháború között az egyház nehezen ocsúdott a helyzetből, nehezen szerveződött újra. Évek teltek el ezzel a bénult várakozással, mert abban reménykedtek az emberek, hogy a szétszakítottság állapota átmeneti lesz. A földrajzi elhelyezkedés nagyban nehezíti a szolgálatot. A kilenc egyházmegye közül két, Kassa környéki szlovák anyanyelvű, de vannak olyan gyülekezetek ahol két nyelven szolgálnak. Mit értünk szórványgyülekezet alatt Felvidéken? Egyrészt történelmi helyzetből kifolyólag elnéptelenedett falu vagy gyülekezet, vagy olyan elöregedett község, ahol nincs „utánpótlás”, és néhány idős hívő alkotja a gyülekezetét. Egyéb okokat tekintve, elmondhatjuk, hogy nálunk azok a gyülekezetek minősülhetnek szórványnak, ahol az egyháznak nincs épülete, földje, és a gyülekezet képtelen az önálló szolgálatra. Vannak azonban pozitív példái is a szórványgyülekezetnek, amikor is beköltözés folytán új hangok csendülnek fel a templom kiüresedő falai között. A kisújhelyi gyülekezet (Kelet-Szlovákia) az egyik legszebb példája a reménység beteljesedésének. Néhány évvel ezelőtt a hitben járó reformátusok, jobb híján, a helyi halottasházban gyülekeztek istentiszteletre, majd pedig, közös összefogással, templomépítésbe fogtak, amely 2009 nyarától meg is nyitotta ajtajait, és helyet ad a szolgálatoknak. Karácsonyi műsor az alsómihályi gyülekezetben 2010-ben A lassan szórvánnyá váló bistei kis gyülekezet 1945-ig Magyarországhoz tartozott, és Füzérkajata leányegyháza volt. A kis gyülekezet sokáig nem tért magához az elszakadás után, azonban a schengeni határok megnyílásával, 2007 óta a két gyülekezet között kialakulóban van a testvéri kapcsolat megerősödése. 2008 novemberében a füzérkajatai és bistei gyülekezet úrvacsorái közösséget tartott, és mindkét gyülekezet újult erővel fogott hozzá az egyházi épületeik felújításához. A bistei gyülekezet, ahol mindössze 25 ember maradt hűséges az Igéhez, önerőből kívül-belül felújította templomát 2008-ban, és további terveik között szerepel a régi iskolaépület felújítása gyülekezeti célokra. Sok más példát is említhetnénk, de így is érezzük, hogy ahol mi egy lépés kivezető utat nem látunk, ott Istennek még mindig vannak útjai. A mi jövőnk nem emberek kezében van, hanem az Isten kegyelmében. Nt.Györky Szilvia (Alsómihályi, Legenye, Biste lelkipásztora), Felvidék, Szlovákia. „Sometimes God leaves us only to gift us with his full attention later. ” After the Trianon Peace Treaty, the Reformed Church in Slovakia found it hard to cope with the new situation. The church stayed motionless for years in hope that the new borderlines between Czechoslovakia and Hungary were only temporary. Realizing that the situation wasn’t going to change, the Reformed Church had to deal with reorganizing the church from the basics. It’s not easy to cover the services at the congregations in the Uplands (Felvidék - northern part of the former greater Hungary). There are nine classess, the official language is Hungarian in seven of them, and Slovak in the remaining two. There are also a few congregations where are the services held in both Slovak and Hungarian language. There are several churches in the entire area, which are called diaspora congregations. Mostly they became diasporas because of their historical situation. There are also some abandoned congregations, where the old church members remained loyal to the church, but the youngsters already had moved into larger cities. In general, we can say with certainity, that the church that has no building, and the congregation is not self-sufficient, is labeled as a "diaspora". There are several examples, which are proving that God holds his hand above his children, as the new inhabitants of a town are starting to fill the empty churches. There’s a small congregation in Eastem-Slovakia, in Slovenské Nővé Mesto, where the Lord blessed the small community of the Reformed church members. The Sunday services were held in the service hall of the local funeral home until the Lord gave the blessed idea to build a church, and it didn’t remained just an idea. The people joined their talents and ideas, and they started everything literally from the basics, never giving up until the building was finished, and since the summer of 2009 opened its doors for the Sunday services. The next positive example of the Lord’s Spirit's work is the small congregation of Biste (Bysta). This town was the part of Hungary and the Reformed community was the filia of Füzérkajata (Hungary), but the several changes of the borderlines in 1945 cut the ties, and the town is now the part of Slovakia. Long years passed without a significant change in the awaiting silence, and the year of 2007 brought a ray of hope into the hearts of the people. That was the year when the borderlines of the Uropian Union were opened and the two communities, Füzérkajata and Biste started to find the way back to each other. After several meetings and friendly conversations, the church members of both communities celebrated a worship service with Holy Communion in November 2008. These blessed meetings encouraged those, who remained loyal to the Reformed church in Biste (we are talking about only 25 members of the church), proceeded to renovate the old church building, which initiation inspired the people of Füzérkajata to renovate their own church buildings as well. The small community of Biste has other plans too, to renovate the building of the old Reformed school, to use it for several meetings and occasions. In the congregations where we from a human point of view do not see much hope for improvements, we a re sure that God still has plans. Our future is not in our hands, but we are in His grace. Rev.
