Rev.Lajos Fabian the pastor, who serves faithfully at the congregation. The Western Classis has elected its Dean Rev.Balint Nagy. Its important to recognize the seven mission congregations in the Western Classis: Seattle,WA, Denver,CO, Houston,TX, Dallas,TX, Honolulu,TX, Austin,TX, Portland,OR. I am very happy to report with thanks to God that the average attendance at the Denver, Houston and Seattle congregations are 50-55 people in every church services. I ask God to give them strength so they can continue to fight our battles and so that their efforts may come to result for the glory of God. It is also important that after the Holy Scripture and our Confessions, we use and obey our Church’s By-Laws and regulations. Few years ago at the Bishop’s Council meeting in New Brunswick,NJ, it was categorically stated that our By-Laws have to be followed and respected. In the next four years I will make it fundamental part of my service to enforce and uphold our By- Laws and regulations. I would like to inform everybody of the status of the Magyar Egyház-Magyar Church publication. As Editor in Chief, I inform you that Zsolt Demeter, Editor of the Magyar Egyház- Magyar Church with reference to his personal activity has resigned from his position in 2007. Unfortunately technical difficulties surfaced during the editing process and Rev.Attila Tobias was appointed by the Bishop’s Council to take this job. After my computer problems finally I was able to edit the remaining issues of the Magyar Egyhaz-Magyar Church until today. Three volumes of the past due editions of the Magyar Egyház-Magyar Church newspaper were edited. The next issue will be published and sent it to the congregations until the coming Christmas. However, the old issue - that the pastors are not contributing materials for the newspaper - is still a problem, making the work of the editor harder than it has to be. I ask for your understanding and ask everyone to continuously support the quarterly publication despite these difficulties, and that everyone send in their subscription dues and send articles, photos and sermons to the editorial office. Thank you for your continued support and help. The Ministerial Qualifying Committee accepted Rev.Judit Mayer and Rev. András Balogh pastors. God bless their services. I also find it important to support the Bethlen Home in Ligonier,PA and the Hungarian Reformed Federation in America in Washington,DC. In the last four years we hold our meetings in Ligonier,PA. Our thanks go out to the Bethlen Home for their hospitality. The Youth Camp was a success in the last four years. Thank for the service of Mr.Gabor Csapó, Chief Elder of the Tren-Mrs. Piroska Gödinek, Chief Elder, Windsor, ON Mrs. Iren Piisök, Church Council member, Ontario, CA Ms. Re nála Elekes, Newly Elected Controller HRCA, Ontario, CA ton,NJ congregation. May God’s bless follow their work. Christ has to be the center of our service, he determines our service, let him help us manifest our ideas. Every condition is present for us to serve successfully. We have churches that our forefathers have built. We have financial difficulties, but who doesn’t? Let us not forget that God will always take care of us. Most congregations have local pastors, who serve faithfully, along with the elected officials. And the most important condition is always present: God’s grace, which is endless and empowering. We only have to take advantage of this and everything will be solved. I thank my colleagues for supporting my work and services in the last four year. Mr.Anthony C. Beke, Chief Elder, Rt.Rev.Ferenc Varga, Ecclesiastical Secretary and Dean, Dr.Zoltán Mester, Lay Secretary, Mrs.Szilvia Russell, Treasurer, Mr.Károly Okos, Controller, Rev.Dr.Attila Kocsis, Rev.Balint Nagy, Deans and every other officer for their faithful service. And the biggest thank and appreciation is to my beloved wife Zsoka. Thank for her support, her patience and unending love to be in the service of God. Thank you Zsoka. I wish God’s blessing for the life and service of the pastors, elders of our Synod. Thank you and God bless all of you and God bless the Hungarian Reformed Church in America I thank the General Assembly for its attention and sincerely propose the acknowledgement of my report. Sándor Szabó, Bishop
