Terveink között szerepel a hagyományos szabadtéri is­tentisztelet megtartása június végén a Bollok család hegyi nyaralójában. Arra törekszünk, hogy a nyári időszakban sem tör­jön meg egyháztagjaink buzgósága. Presbitériumunk elhatározta a lelkészi iroda felújítását és egy nagy szekrénysornak a Tanács­terembe történő beépítését. Alexander Forró Tel.: (845) 454-5735 Főgondnok: Mr.Vince Kovács 2005 február 13-án kétnyelvű böjti istentiszteletet tartot­tunk úrvacsoraosztással. Az úrvacsorái kenyeret és bort Baráth Jenőné Női Köri elnöknő adományozta. Az egyház Női Köre március 20-án, vasárnap délután, az egyháztagság gyermekei és szüleik, valamint a vasárnapi isko­lai tanítók részére húsvéti uzsonnát rendezett a gyülekezeti terem­ben. Március 22-én húsvétra, a Női Kör beigli sütést ren­dezett. Március 25-én, nagypénteken este, kétnyelvű istentisz­telet volt. Március 27-én, húsvét vasárnap délelőtt, kétnyelvű nagyünnepi istentiszteletet tartottunk úrvacsoraosztással. Az úr­vacsorái jegyeket Bordás Csaba egyháztag adományozta. Az úr­vacsorái adományok összege $ 1,135.00 volt. Április 10-én az egyház Tavaszi Ebédet rendezett. Április 24-én, vasárnap délután, a lelkipásztor a New Paltz-I temetőben eltemette Cheka Lajos pártfogó testvérét Mrs. Laura S.Rose-t. Május 4-én, nagy örömünkre, egy névtelen adakozó $5,000.00 (ötezer) összegű adományt küldött egyházunknak, Is­ten dicsőségére. Május 8-án Anyáknapi Ebédet rendeztünk, amelyen Stanley László pártfogó és a lelkipásztor szavalatokkal köszöntötték fel az édesanyákat. A megjelentek énekét Csordás Gábomé orgonistánk kísérte zongorán. Május 15-én kétnyelvű pünkösdi istentiszteletet tartot­tunk úrvacsoraosztással. Május 28-án, az egyház Női Köre ételvásárt rendezett a gyülekezeti teremben. Kiegészítés: A “Magyar Egyház” legutóbbi számából az egyház beküldött cikkéből, sajnálatosan kimaradt az egyház Női Körének január 20-i gyűléséből a megválasztott tisztségviselők teljes névsora, amit itt közlünk: Baráth Jenőné elnöknő, Kovács Sándomé alelnöknő, Gállos Csabáné jegyző-ellenőr és Kovács Vincéné pénztáros. Ft.Forró Sándor lelkipásztor HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH 140 Norman Avenue Roebling, New Jersey 08554 (609) 499-0717/1631 On March 7, 2005 Bishop Andor Demeter, Chief Elder of the Synod, Anthony Beke, Rev. Barnabas Roczey, Dean of the Eastern Classis, and Frank Király, Chief Elder of the Classis/ President of the Presbyters Association, visited our church to meet with members of the Church Council, members of the Women's Guild, and Rev. and Mrs. Frantz. This was the first visit to our church by Rev. Demeter as Bishop. Warm greetings were exchanged, and pleasant conversation ensued as our guests were brought up to date on affairs of our church. Rev. Roczey formerly served as pastor of our church before moving on to New Brunswick. Anthony Beke is no stranger to our church and has visited many times in both unofficial and official capacities. All were very pleased with the status of our congregation and happy to learn that for our small size, we are doing quite well. We no longer have a Sunday School, youth group or choir, but we do have FOUR retired pastors who very ably serve our church. Our membership is shrinking, but our spirit and fellowship remain strong. During our Congregational Meeting on March 13th, the current Elders and Officers accepted their responsibilities for another year: Chief Elder - Joseph Varga; Vice Chief Elder - Frank Todash Jr.; Secretary - Georgiana Harkel; Treasurer - Joseph B. Varga; Recorder - Elizabeth Soltész Weissberg. Elders: Joseph Bartha, James Bajzath, Ted D'Annunzio, Michael Scott, Irene Szabó, Christian Varga, Charles Weissberg. All Elders and Officers, to include the Women'sGuild, were installed during the worship Service on April 3. Our customary Lent, Holy Week, and Easter services were observed, notably a very moving Good Friday Service conducted by Rev. Gary Hope. We continue to enjoy fellow­ship at our coffee klatch each Sunday and luncheons on spe­cial occasions such as Mother's Day. Our Hungarian Kolbász is made before Christmas and Easter holydays for our mem­bers and friends to enjoy. On May 21, our ladies had the joy and distinction to be voted the community's best stuffed cab­bage makers at the Roebling Centennial “Stuffed Cabbage Cook-Off’. They competed against 26 other entrants and were judged “Best of Show” in the professional judging and received Honorable Mention in the People's Choice competi­tion. Hopefully the “Noodle Factory” will re-open in the fall after some down-time due to illness and injuries. Hungarian ladies from some of our community churches join in the effort which is rewarded with some very tasty lunches as they relax and share in fellowship. On July 2, Rev. Stefan Torok will conduct a cere­mony in our church uniting in marriage Melissa D'Annunzio and Dominic DeMarcello. Melissa is the daughter of Ted and Nancy (Bartha) D'Annunzio and granddaughter of Mr.&Mrs. Joseph Bartha. Georgiana B. Harkel, Secretary
