6. oldal MAGYAR EGYHÁZ SUMMER CHURCH YOUTH CAMP 1999 The combined Hungarian Reformed churches Summer Youth Camp was once again held in the beautiful hills of Western Pennsylvania from August 1st to the 7th. Over eighty people attended this year’s camp and this figure included campers counselors, counselors-in-training, presenters and and the fact that it was too soon for the camp to be over with for another year, because it seemed that things had just begun and there were so many more friendships to be established! Four different daily Bible studies, lead by Rt. Rev. Bela Poznan, Rev. Marianna Király, Kathy two co-camp directors, one, Priscilla Hunyady, with many years of experience and knowledge, the other with about three days experience at Youth Camp prior to this year. I can honestly say that it was one of amazement and wonder. A true learning experience. On Sunday evening, as campers began to arrive, from the many different local churches in this great country of ours, to attend this year’s camp, one could not help but feel the mood in the camp as it started to grow with excitement, anticipation and joy. This feeling continued throughout the week and before you knew, it was Saturday morning and the good-byes, hugs and tears began. Everyone was reflecting back on all the things that they had done Smith and Viera Siegert, dealing with end-time prophesies found in Holy Scriptures were attended by all the campers and counselors. These presenters did an outstanding job of bringing a very difficult but interesting subject to their respective classes. In addition to these sessions, there were a variety of workshops dealing with many different topics, from Bible trivia to Hungarian whip making and Hungarian cooking (congratulations to those two great chefs, the Revs. Mayer and Király). Other activities from soccer to swimming were available to help the campers burn off their youthful energy. Music was everywhere, thanks to Kathy Smith and her ace assistant, Sandy Szepesi, for they certainly helped to brighten the spirits and awake the soul to
